		<description>I could have gone to Long Sutton fair on the village green and had a ride on the dodgems and on the roundabout;  I could have tried to win a coconut;  I could have bought a candy floss and a toffee apple; and still had a sixpence and a threepenny bit in my pocket to wander around looking at other things.  

My Grandad needed four half crowns to pay for one of his children to see the doctor in the 1930s, and he was only earning thirty shillings a week.</description>
