I'm old enough to remember the vile FNLA and Unita, proxies of the US in Angola, and supported by South Africa, for God's sake! The only motive was to keep the Cubans out, regardless of the injustice that preceded the uprising. It's terrible to see the place now. The MPLA once had principles of some sort, unlike their Portuguese masters. Its dreadful to see a liberation movement descend to this level of criminality.
