Slightly different slant - here there is much "things used to be great" or "I remember when this church was full" or one I got last Sunday "there were once well over a thousand people coming here week by week" - to a church that would, at best, scarcely hold seven hundred! Somehow we have to find a vision of the new thing that God will do and can do....though we may need to hold lightly onto some of the treasured memories. Interesting – I took the same text.
